Did you know the Ficifolia Tree is the only tree that produces flowers which extend beyond their leaf line? It's true - the flowers protrude beyond the leaves whereas other trees do not. They can flower in colours from pale pink through to the deepest of reds (blue/red) and this amazing plant is native to only to the South West of WA (5 square kilometres to be precise) and Nutkin Lodge is within this region. You can see these beautiful displays in the Summer Months - commencing around mid to late December to late January.... In saying that the trees can bloom early or have extended blooming seasons based on the weather. Don't worry you'll miss them - we'll keep you posted cause there are many on our property you can see :)
